Somebody asked about Scyy pistols on another bored, so I came over here and searched. Nothing. No results. I have a hard time believing that nobody has ever asked about one of these things here.

I know they exist, I've seen them in stores. I also seem to remember some controversy surrounding them. IIRC, something about their employees making fake message board accounts and bashing Kel-Tec to try and drive business towards their pistols. Am I making this up?

What gives? Is the search not quite right (have had problems with it in the past)? Have all traces of Skyy/Scyy been removed.

I seem to remember their name being Skyy, but it now appears to be Scyy. Anybody know what that's all about. Maybe Skyy vodka threatened to sue?

Anyways, anybody know anything about these things? I have no desire to own one, just wondering about the lack of info here.

The information that was passed on to me seemed to indicate that they were made by an ex-keltec employee and were basically a rip off with different styling and poor quality control. The one that I handled was very rough, approaching a raven arms in terms of quality.

Many post about these pistols are removed or the moderators are forced to block them because these people attack, troll and spam the hell out of anything that makes light that hey produce an inferior product

the name changed because the Vodka people nailed them for Trademark infringement.
OH KTOG.org has some threads stickied about them, generally negative.

Don't be surprised if this thread is locked or just vanished within 24 hours, cause they are like that. First you will see a bunch of 5 or 10 posters come in and start praising these pistol as the greatest thing ever.

I was wondering what the heck was going on. Sometimes the search doesn't work well for short words, but that was fixed a while ago.

The board appears to have been completely sanitized of Skyy and Scyy references. :p

Sccy Forum is the primary message board for Sccy owners, has been for a while.

I own one. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a Kel-Tec. Mine is in the shop for the third time since I got it 2 1/2 years ago. Their service is good, I just wish I didn't have to use it so often.

    I have one.
I don't feel like going into a long story but mine cratered in 180 rounds. After sending it to Skyy to be repaired I have a paperweight that's dangerous to shoot. It hangs on hook because I won't shoot it and I won't sell a dangerous gun.

If the company is still in business I'd be suprised.

Hopefully they end up like Hi Point and improve their product until it is actually reliable with decent quality.

I considered buying one until i asked the price. Might just be the shop i was going through, but the 9mm keltec wound up being cheaper and having a name i recognized. didn't buy either for other reasons, but in handling the sccy and in how hard the salesman was pushing it i had two big issues: grip it high handed and you'll engage the safety, he was selling over MSRP.

Handle one before considering, but for me a proper hold engaged the safety.
