Is anyone interested in doing this, If so PM me with contact information? It adds 14 more states if you currently have a Washington license based on October 2007 information that's 32 of the 50 United States, not bad!

These states allow Utah CCW per NRA Website. (Packing.org was down when I posted)

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Deleware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississsippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming.

These States allow Washington CCW per NRA:
Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia

This is a good class, in and of itself for safety review, etc.

    Have fun!

Now if those darn Oregonians would allow some reciprocity for CCWing in their state. My folks lives in the Portland area, and it's a pain figuring out what to do whenever I go see them. :banghead:

I've heard it is a matter of finding a gun-friendly sheriff in a county in Oregon. Anyone have any suggestions?

I might be interested in this class... depending on what day of the week it's on.

A Utah permit is probably one of the most usefull in the country!

    Utah Requirements

Thanks to all of you who have responded. This offer will remain open until the class but I will poll those that have responded on Monday next week to set a date and confirm a location. Here is a direct link to the Utah page. As far as the Oregon stuff goes someone else is going to have to take that one on because I don't know anything about it.

I'd like to do this. Our lease expires in Feb tho, so with the moving and such I may not be able to go.

    Interested

I live in GA but I will be in Seattle from the 16-22 and then for a week in Feb. If I can do this during that time, I would be interested.

Umatilla County in Pendleton in Oregon issues non-resident licenses for self defense purposes. I've also heard on the OpenCarry.org forum that Multnomah County issues for personal protection too now that Sheriff Guisto is in office. I try to stay from Multnomah due to the fact that they tend to be abusive even to their residents which is required to be shall-issue (basically they have a lower threshold for attempting to use the "danger to self and others" provision to attempt to revoke a license). Also give Washington County a try.

My step-dad (and my ma before she passed away), grandparents and other relatives live in Pendleton OR. I might just apply for Oregon CCW next time I'm there. :)

    Set a Date

Ok we have about 15 guys that are interested in this. I have posted most of the details previously so now we need to set a Date and Time. Just so everyone is still aware (These are listed above too but thought I would condense to the important ones Character aside:

    Cost of Class is:$75
Cost of Application: $62.25 (this goes straight to Utah and FBI, and RWC says the wait is unbearable due to the States Slowness)

    Passport Photo

    21yrs old

    Fingerprinting

    Background Check

The instructor is unavailable to teach between the 7th and 14th of Jan. so I am thinking the first week in Jan. or that week after the 14th. I have a location in Bellevue or Seattle that would work. Bellevue location is by the Bellevue Athletic Club and Seattle location is smack dab Downtown. Class duration is 4hrs so the commute home won't be bad but the commute to the class is going to be horrid. I figure start time at 6pm bring a sack dinner and done by 10pm.

Get me your responses if you want to be heard.

It would have to be after the 15th for me. 6pm done by 10pm works for me.

Wait for residents right now is only about 4 weeks. Better hurry up, there has been talk of charging out of state applicants a larger fee.

Any time in Jan is tough; I basically won't know until maybe the week before if it's viable for me. Even if I can spare the time and cash transport could be an issue. Anyone else coming from the North Bend/Preston area?

    Bellevue, definitely.

Where can I get a set of fingerprint cards done?

The instructor does the fingerprinting you just need a passport photo to send in with the application.

Bellevue is preferred for me. Any time in January looks good so far.

    Thanks!

For those of you who haven't replied, I plan on making a decision by tomorrow. It is going to be after the 14th of Jan. so by making a decision tomorrow you will have a few weeks to plan.
