I have been looking for any laws that might pertain to trading or selling guns in Missouri. I will find a dealer to handle the transaction. Is this sufficient to keep problems from arising? Can anyone suggest a good site or give me just the nuts an bolts of anything I may need to be aware of. I am looking for a revolver to replace a 9mm semi-auto I have. I am also planning on purchasing a Glock in addition to all of this. I don't have a need for 2 9mm's.

Thanks in advance for your response,

David

As far as I know you need a permit from your county sherriff to buy a handgun, if you want to sell one I believe it is the buyer that would need to obtain the permit. I would suggest checking with your county sherriff to make sure.

You might as well join up there. They can tell you everything you want to know and then some. A good group, of which I yam a member.

"Concealable" firearm, PTA from your sheriff. No dealer required unless you are buying from one, or outa state.

Long gun, no dealer required, no PTA required. face to face is ok, not even a 4473 if yer a private individual and like that.

IANAL but that is how I do it.
