As most of you know, there are three US Senate races possibly heading for run-offs. The republican party must win at least one of these races to stop the Democrats from having a filibuster proof 60 seat super majority. Both parties are planning to bring in out of state national politicians to help them campaign, so please get involved with one of the campaigns even if you aren't a voter in that state.

Georgia (run-off very likely) - Saxby Chambliss - http://www.saxby.org/Home.aspx

Minnesota (possible run-off pending recount) - Norm Coleman - http://www.colemanforsenate.com/

Alaska (possible run off pending final vote counts) - Ted Stevens - http://www.tedstevens2008.com/

Ted Stevens may be a lot of things, but he is not, nor was he ever, anti-gun. I have been voting for him since he was first elected.
Anti-gun would be political suicide in Alaska. Even our Dems are pro 2A.

Colemans lead is eroding by the day, it seems some leftist enclave north of Duluth is producing votes for the clown while no colemane votes are to be found. I heard yesterday that they found 30 + ballots in somebodys back seat and they are still to be allowed.
This country really needs election reform and by that I don't mean making it easier that going through the drive up at McD's.
Start over and have everyone register at their courthouse in person with ID and on election day go to the polls unless you can demonstrate that you are a shut in or will be out of the precinct on election day.
We have to many uninformed voters that are herded into the polls with instructions rather than information and others that are willing to sell their votes for no more than a pack of smokes or bottle of Remo.

I'm not sure about Senator Coleman; I think he's okay. However, Al Franken is psychotically anti-gun; and just plain - uh - 'odd'.

Senator Chambliss seems to be a 'gool ol' boy' who is more kindly disposed toward firearms and firearm owners.

Senator Stevens seems to be overtly crooked. But if he's elected and goes to jail, Governor Palin will select his replacement. She is pro-gun in most ways that count.

I've sent money to both Senators Coleman and Chambliss. Yeah, money is tight, but think of all the money we'll save when we can't buy either guns, ammo or components.
