That’s right, you read it correctly it’s a four gun match. What, you ask is a four gun match? It’s five stages of steel, clay and paper targets that will be engaged at various distances from various positions all on the timer. You’ll be required to engage targets with a Handgun, a Rifle/Carbine, a Shotgun and a General Purpose Machine Gun…. What’s that? You don’t have a general purpose machine gun. No problem, you bring your pistol, rifle and scattergun and we’ll provide the GPMG. How about a real deal Russian PKM general purpose machine gun and ammo no less.
This will not be a beginner’s match or a first timer’s match. There will be stages requiring physical exertion, movement, reloading, weapon transitions, various shooting positions, various unknown target distances and shooting while moving with firearms. You need to know your gear, guns and your skill set. Round count could be as high as 300 rifle, 200 pistol, 75 shot shell and 25 slug. No penetrator, steel core, AP, Tracer or steel shot.
The ranges will be cold for this match and chamber flags will be required for all long arms. Safety is paramount at our matches. Unsafe activity will not be tolerated. The R/O’s have full authority to DQ unsafe competitors for just cause. They will be escorted from the range facility with no refund.

NFA Weapons and accessories are welcome with the proper paperwork. GTA reserves the right to check all NFA paperwork.
Pre-registration is required. There will be no shooter sign up the day of the match. To pre-register contact the match director, Scott Denniss at:[email protected] . Deadline to sign-up will be September 15th, 2010. This match is limited to the first 50 shooters who register.
When: Sunday, September 26th, 2010. Sign-in begins at 0900 hours. There will be a safety briefing for all shooters at 0930 hours with squadding assignments to follow. The match will start at 1000 hours. There will be a break with the lunch truck at 1300 hours.
Where: Greenport Tactical Association, 5169 Greenport Ave. SE, Canton, OH. 44707-1717
Cost: $45 for GTA Members and $60 for Nonmembers. This covers your entrance fee and a 25 round belt of ammo for the PKM
What’s in it For You: A fun day of shooting on some challenging stages with like minded folks on a beautiful facility.
Our matches are about having fun exercising our 2nd Amendment rights. We will be keeping scores but there are no prizes, just bragging rights. Plus a chance to rip through a 25 round belt of 7.62 x 54R ammo in a Russian PKM.
