I confess to posting a sensational topic title, but I just found out from Kurt at Marvel Precision that the .22LR Commander kit I found is the very first one they ever produced, #CA0001 C.

His records showed it never having left the factory in 2005.

I held my breath there for a minute and hoped that wasn't going to be a problem.:uhoh:

Wondered how long that would take! :D

I told the guy at Marvel they could have it back if they wanted to swap their latest Commander kit for it, even steven.

Obviously it left in someones pocket...someone who wasn't supposed to take it! Cool though!

I was givin a nice fighting knife that had serial number 1 on it and it is one of four I came to find out. The maker said he gave 1~3 away to other knifemaker buddies, and kept #4. He didn't tell me who he gave #1 to but it was given to who ever it was In Australia! And I got it here in New Mexico....weird things happen!

Yup......re-gifting is more rampant than people think.
