Undervalued!
Only recently have the S-2 blue dropped, they were a pretty penny for quite some time. Once the S-2 Orange was out long enough for all the “gotta get the newest” to buy theirs, the street prices of both the blue and orange guns have come down. (With the blue dropping considerably more.)

Stay safe.

I'd say the price drop of the basic blue model is from the optic ready model.

Optic ready pistols is major driving factor in pistol sales.

Makes sense. I won’t be surprised if CZ discontinued the standard Blue S-2. They have a pattern of discontinuing models a lot, so it sure could be in the works.

My Urban Gray S-2 was bought a couple of months after they dropped that color version from the catalog, which shaved a few hundred off the list price. Conversely, the 97B .45 increased in price right after I bought mine. It was discontinued a couple of weeks after it came home. (It was still on the “OK to buy roster” here in Ca when they quit making it.)

Stay safe.

I don't own a Shadow 2. I do like them. I know a guy that has went CZ crazy. He loves his Shadow 2's, & other CZ's. I get to shoot them when I visit but I don't get to go but a few times a year as it is a pretty healthy drive.

IMO, dropping the 97 was a stupid move. CZ should have updated the model, pic rail, threaded barrel. I have 3 CZ 97s and 2 spare slides, I prefer them over the 1911. 45 ACP is an absolute joy and pussy cat with a 97.

But, one thing people don't know, CZ is a major player in gun competitions overseas. A lot of their designs revolve around those games and their different rules.
Supposedly, the reason the SP01, the slide over hangs the frame just slightly is because guns with full length frame rails were prohibited. So CZ cut back the frame slightly and the SP01 and S2 over bite was born.

I have a 97(used) bought it 3 years ago and shot it once. Need to take it out more. I do love my 1911’s tho!
