I've been wanting a Shadow 2, accurized, or with a bushing in SA/DA. Then i got one. It's a real fussy eater. Round nose seems to be all it cares for. well the only factory stuff I have is round nose. All the re-loads are SWC or HP's. Not all the re-loads make it through the plunk tests. Though all the other 9's don't mind them at all. Suggestions?

CZ pistols are known for having short leades. A hollow point bullet typically has a short fat profile, combine that with the short leade, you are gonna have issues.

You have to figure out the maximum length for each bullet for that CZ.
Comparing my CZ P09, my S&W MP and BHP both max out at around 1.160 whereas the P09 is around 1.1

The OAL of the reloaded ammo is likely too short. Does it fail to feed?
Yes, About 1/2 of the hand loads flunk the plunk! I'm going to post in the re-load a question that I've been wondering about. Basicly, can you reform the case when seating the bullet? Cuz, if every case is being full length resized then they should all fit the block. But after seating and crimp, some don't? Man-o-man, there's always something to learn! I really love this Shadow 2 and if I have to load just for it, I guess I'll just have to reload just for it.

My Shadow 2.
I load rmr 124gr mw at 1.075 coal
I load rmr 124gr mpr jhp at 1.060 coal
I load precision delta 124 jhp at 1.088 coal

Those are my most recent loadings for reference. You'll note that the difference from the precision delta to the rmr is due to ogive profile.

I worked to find my max coal for my shortest lead gun... depending on bullet that was Shadow 2 or springfield xds. I then tested accuracy and found my preferred oal and powder charge so all ammo could be fired in all my firearms and was accurate.
