I like Hogues for shooting, but they just aren't much to look at.

So I've picked up a couple of sets of fancy grips for my Model 58 for important stuff like picture taking and BBQ's and such.

A not period correct set of Magna's with a Tylers T-Grip.

Another set of grips on the way.

Force yourself to use them when shooting, but be sure you close both eyes before pulling the trigger... :neener:

WOW! All the descriptive terms used so far simply don't do it justice! And I can think of no other terms that would be adequate... They've all been used!

C'mon Cajun, when showing off run with the big dogs or stay on the porch!

I know you have more than that to show off. Make it a debauchery of gun porn!:D

Pray Tell, do those Tyler t grips work well for moderate to heavy loads in an n frame .41-44 mags?

To tell you the truth Barry, I don't know. When I shoot, I only shoot fairly light loads. I'm just shooting for fun and punching a hole in a piece of paper, so I don't go for a lot of recoil.

So for that reason, I'm sure I'll use them Fluff. Full house loads...probably not. That's why I kept the Hogues. :D

Not so much anymore. At one time I had some pretty nice ones, but I sold them all off because I just never used them. I just didn't see any sense in theem just sitting the dark in a safe. That 58 and a couple of 19's are about all I've got these days. One of the 19's isn't too shabby though.

I wish I'd taken some pictures of that 19, it's a -3, yesterday when I did the 58's. The light was just perfect. I'm going to have to give it a couple good coats of wax, and watch for a cloudy day.

I'll do the same with this beat up old 19 (no dash).

As comfortable as rubber grips are, all my revolvers wear wood grips. The wife spent stupid money on a set of Esmerada grips for my SP101. Second time around for both of us and I am thankful I found her.It has been 20 years of thinking alike.

When you going to put stag magnas on the 58? Combined with the grip adapter, it is my favorite combination for the "N" frame.

BIKERDOC -

Thanks for bringing up Esmerelda grips. First time I heard of that source.

Cajun - Your revolvers are exquisite.

Sweet looking Model 58, especially with those grips! I like the Tyler T-Grip adapter on my Model 649 as well.

Here is a set of stags and a grip adapter on a Model 22-4.

I like the grip adaprter as it gives me the feel of boot grips, just better looking when combined with stag or ivory.
