Sharon in hospital

Sharon who? Or is this like a Cher or a Prince or a Madona, with no last name?

I fail to see what this has to do with "issues affecting the right to keep and bear arms and other civil rights."

What happens when he dies? Will the Palestinians take advantage of the confusion and make a move?

Some big-time celebrity televangelist, maybe Pat Robertson, was re-played on the radio yesterday. He claimed that "the supreme being who I won't name on THR" hath smote Sharon for giving away land that belongs to the chosen people, giving it to the infidels.

Like a major stroke is the same as a supreme being's dope-slap.

Regards.

This morning he needed emergency surgery and they are now confirming brain damage so if it wasn't before it is now a safe bet he wont be back in office.

Shame really

They just had a report on Fox that the cat scan showed improvements from the second surgery. The interview was from the Isreal news line.

Pat Robertson

Well, it's a free country and he can say what he wants, but I consider him to be a "shiite" christian. Radical, narrow minded and dangerous with the rhetoric. Following his own line of reasoning, what sin did he commit for God to strike him with senility?

As for Ariel Sharon, most recent news reports say he'll survive, but with an undetermined amount of brain damage. Doctors seem to think rather severe, though. I wish it were a better prognosis, but my prayers go out for his recovery, as best as can be had.

i hope somebody better steps in.. he has done a lot recently in making things better, like pulling 9,000 settlements out on previous palestinian land that was taken away for "security reasons". i really dont know why israel needs more land for security, their military is far superior to the palestinians. but since the pulling out, palestinians have gotten their land back and things have calmed down A LOT now. but if we get another jerk off zionist (netan-yahoo), he'll use his power to bomb palestinian homes and seize control of prime palestinian land and kick palestinian residents out for .. "secuirty". or is it their growing "jewish" population? i had to put the word jewish in quotation marks b/c israel invites many american students over to study for free in israel in return for whatever, military or residence in israel..
this could be whats best for israel's economy, but it'll create a lot of controversy between palestinian activist. but being un-biast, i have to admit.. whenever israel minds its own business, palestinians stay quiet and mind theirs too. that's just a solid and undenialable fact

but what do i know? my dad is jewish..

Might want to educate yourself on the topic.

A well armed kindergarten teacher could deal with the conflict.

Really? Then why have hundreds of generations on both sides been too stupid, in your opinion, to end it? There is history and ideology on both sides that make it a complex issue and the comment is sophomoric at best. As a disinterested party, I can see a practical solution, but this ignores the aforementioned history and ideology. Which, by the way, is the entire point of the conflict.

the entire area is a hell hole. there's nothing good about that area.. israel steals land (w/ tanks) and arabs react with suicide bombings.
both are wrong. israel needs to quite breaking promises of peace and keep its gawddamn nose out of neighboring states. palestine needs to accept defeat, and realize israel will squash them in any type of uprising and just act like any other country that was under soviet control way back in time.

honestly, instead of barracading itself from arabs, stealing more land, then segregating itself (with huge walls) again.. israel should open up trade and allow freedom of travel accross the region..

sure, security should still remain on both sides.. but i just think making everythign open just might create peace or help lead to peace

but what do i know? my dad is jewish..

and...?

seriously, you need to do some reading. start with the ottoman empire and WWI.

fist in the air in the land of hipocracy

I am not seeing how this is related to firearms, the RKBA or civil rights.
