Well I have been looking at the sig p290 cm9 and a few other small 9s and I end up with a 40 Cal. shield.
I was having problems finding 9 and 380 ammo.seemed like 40 was availible more.I think that's made me start looking at the 40.The price was good also 399.
Hope I made a good choice

You will love it. I love mine. The recoil is very manageable and mine is very accurate.
    Enjoy.

Small gun, bigger caliber, what's not to love?

Great choice. Take it to the range, you will love it. I have a Shield in 9mm that is my everyday carry. Very reliable and easy to shoot.

Shield feels good in the hand but the trigger feels heavy even compared to my Kahr.
maybe I will shoot it sooon.

Trigger NEEDS help; I did the Burwell job on mine, but eventually ordered the APEX sear; I just can't manage the stocker.

    Otherwise, it's a gem.

    Thanks,

For the record; Apex sear (not striker block or springs, just the sear) installed tonight, and the trigger is WORLDS better! A bit of creep then a light-ish (5#, I'm guessing) fairly crisp break. Best $37 I've spent in a long while.
