Any of you guys use this powder? Getting good reviews on the RMR FB page. At $20.00 a pound, it's hard not to buy a few as trade fodder in the future.

Thanks,
Bill

Never heard of it. Looks interesting. What are you using it to load.

It is basically the same as the older AA #5 when it was made in the Czech Republic before Western Powders bought AA. I'll test the three majors in my caliber inventory and compare with my #5 notes as I've been using it forever.

I really like AA#5 for certain cartridges. Is the data available? Or is this like HP 38 and 231?

Since Hodgdon bought Ramshot/Accurate, I doubt we'll see Shooters World anymore. Too much overlap with what Hodgdon already has.

It's good powder it's made in the Czech republic by Explosia & marketed to Europe under the name Lovex.
I use a few of their powders, I have used Tactical rifle for .223/5.56, The Blackout rifle for my .300 blackout, 7.62x39, & Match rifle for my .308s all works fine & it cost less to load.

Shooters World isn't associated with Western Powders or Hodgdon. When Western Powders bought the Accurate Arms line circa 2004, those powders ceased to be Explosia / Lovex powders.

Were they owned by ramshot? I thought they were euro.

Well, Shooters World is a US company selling Explosia / Lovex powders packaged & labeled in the US as Shooters World. They have SAAMI standards load data on their website under the Shooters World brand name, and links to the CIP standards Explosia / Lovex load data as well on their website.

https://shootersworldpowder.com/about/

Shooters World has cross-index information on their website for Shooters World powders (for example SW4350) and their Explosia / Lovex designations (for example S070).

Plus, I recently traded emails with Karen Gerard at Shooters World about using Accurate Arms load data from their Manual #2 published in 2000, before the purchase of Accurate Arms by Western Powders. She endorsed this, telling me they would have had an easier time re-entering the US market if more potential customers thought similarly. Data in that manual is a mix of load pressure data in CUP and SAAMI PSI. Of course, not all current Shooters World powders appear in that manual, such as Long Rifle, and not all the Accurate Arms powders in that manual are currently offered by Shooters World, for example Accurate Arms 3100 (Lovex S071).

Here's a link to a thread from a UK based forum I've been making use of where the equivalents are listed between pre- Western Powders purchase Accurate Arms powders and Explosia / Lovex.

Here's a link I found to a digital version of the Accurate Arms Manual #2 published in 2000, it's no longer in print).

All great to know - I noticed Midsouth carries the Shooters World powders at a significantly lower price point that the typical Hodgdon stuff and have been meaning to try some. But it's all been out of stock for a while now (that or I keep missing it when it does show up. Thanks!

You missed a wave of Shooters World powders availability at Midsouth Shooters Supply in early December, my order at Midsouth Shooters Supply was filled December 8. Graf and Sons had availability shortly after that. It didn't last long, but showed international shipping of components to the USA had resumed.

I have purchased it twice from gun show vendor in DFW area. The first pound worked well, came up with a loads for my applications. The second pound was labeled the same but very different powder, previous loads were much too hot. Never found the vendor again at any or our local shows. Ordering it on-line w/Hazmat, shipping was higher than local stores were asking for the normal run of powders, eg HP-38/W231, CFE-P, TiteGroup ...
