What are all the different types shooting sports and associations? Like three gun, sass, and idpa or something. How do you get involved in these, what exactly are they, and what do all the initials stand for? I live in Utah, and FYI I'm 16 and my 600-something posts are attributed to the fact that I have lots of gun questions haha in case anyone wants to know (esheato) :). I like combat handgns best I guess. After that handgun course at frontsight those are definetly my favorites.

What, you want me to spoon feed it to you? ;) You've got 600 posts and you haven't picked this info up yet?

Google is your friend, and you're halfway to the finish line knowing the acronyms.

What is your specialty? What do you want to shoot? For instance if you tell me you like ARs and tactical black shotguns, I would suggest 3-gun....if you have a thing for cowboy guns, then SASS.

Also, where are you located? There are shooting comps every weekend if you're willing to drive a bit.
