The M1 Carbine is a wonderful rifle to shoot. I'm fortunate to have two, one a WWII era M1, made in 1944, and the other a post-WWII build. They each operate perfectly.

Here's a HD Video showing them in action.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the nice video with some real good camera angles. I just recently got bit with the M1 Carbine bug and started doing my research. I wasn't looking so much for a "collectable" or a "correct" model, but rather a very reliable home/personal defense weapon and plinker.

I opted to get one built for me by Fulton Armory. It's been about two months since I placed my order and I'm feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas. Picked up several different magazines and I'm ready! :D

I think its great to keep these great older, historically significant rifles in use today. I have a 96 year old neighbor who served in Burma with Merill's Marauders who I plan to visit with the rifle. He is so excited, as he has not held an M1 Carbine since WWII. He loved his M1 and said he was deadly accurate out to about 200 yards. I'll get some pictures with him and the rifle and post them.
