Hi guys,

a friend of mine (a rookie in our department) is going the the US for two weeks to visit his brother in Detroit. He intends to use the opportunity for some serious shopping because most US brands are considerably more expensive over here. (And yes, he got a looooong shopping list from me :)).

Where in the Detroit area would one find the best deals on law enforcement gear, flashlights, knives and other tactical toys?

Thanks,

Trooper

Wow, sounds like a fun shopping trip! Try here:http://www.cmpdist.com/
Use the "locations" button for the directions and map. There are three more places I know of that are police specific here:http://www.gerberouterwear.com/distributors.html#michigan
Look under Michigan on the list. Allie Bros. is near me and I buy alot of clothing type stuff there. A friend of mine shops at Cuda's and likes them alot. How's he going to get this stuff through customs?:what:

I don't think there's much duty gear there, but the Cabela's store in Dundee, MI, south of Detroit, would be worth a visit.
Lots of mounted game animals, expensive, beautiful guns, and I think they probably have a flashlight or two also.

I was distracted by a nickled Smith & Wesson M58 .41 Magnum when I was there, so didn't take as good a look around as I might have.
