I shot it today and it worked fine. I was smart enough to put tTeso nipples on first and washered the short arbor. This one will go to the Goon too! Were you able to shoot that revolver yesterday? I hope.

Hey Mike. Thanks for the insight. I was told by someone that early 60's Uberti's were not that good? I have an early Uberti 1960's 1851 model. That's why I ask. Thank you. TimASM revolvers are quite often a mess to work on!! The only ones worse are the Colt 2nd gens !!! They are all over the place!! I'm sure that's why most folks won't work on them! Today's Uberti and Pietta offerings are much better suited for tuning / aftermarket cylinder applications.

Thank you Jackrabbit1957. Appreciate your insight and response. The fact that you have 5 ASM's sounds like they are certainly worth looking into. TimASM kinda has a checkered reputation, I own 5. 4 are decent quality, one is not. All are accurate shooters. The poor quality one is one of those ridiculous brass framed 1858 Bison models. The frame and internal parts are really rough, plus I had to shim the hammer on one side to get it centered enough to pop caps. Anyway ASM is worth looking at if the price isn't over the top.
I bought a Pietta anyway and I really love it. The early 1960s Uberti I have does not have that on the barrel but does have a Navy Arms Gregorelli/uberti stamp on the bottom side of the barrel ...
I have a ASM pocket that is giving me fits. Was thinking of sending it to you, but I like you to much to do that.ASM revolvers are quite often a mess to work on!!
