Hornady uses a proprietary powder blend that they say results in lower pressures, higher velocity, and greater consistency round-to-round (and therefore accuracy.)

TAP Critical Defense is using a polymer cap that offers consistent expansion after penetrating clothing. They showed some comparative photos that were convincing, and this claim is worthy of future verification.

Steel case ammo is available to reduce costs at the range. I wrote this down as "steel case match ammo," but I remember him talking about regular range practice rather than matches.

GMX bullets were mentioned, but I don't remember details.

I don't reload, but this bullet feeder was drawing quite a bit of attention. Something about only loading bullets in one direction, and then passing them down through that metal tube. I should start reloading.

The Sonic Cleaner is now available in a larger size, and can be used to clean gun parts as well, provided the owner is smart enough to use the right chemicals.

There is a gun cleaner solution, and a brass cleaner solution. The cleaner must be cleaned before moving from one cleaner to the other.

I love Hornady ammunition and always had my truck gun loaded with critical defense. Just in my own water testing with a bunch of defense rounds the Hornady was the only round that opened and looked like a mushroom every time. I think it's a great round (from all the various testing I've seen on it) for concealed carry outside of a vehicle. But I recently read that they don't do any testing of critical defense rounds through glass. Some other group has tested it through glass and it doesn't expand at all. Critical Defense ammo is no longer in my truck gun and I think other people should know this information.
