Are they any extra gun conventions that are held each year besides this one? Are there is any additional locations for it? Lastly what does it cost to get in (if it does)? thanks for the help!

Well, the SHOT Show is run by the NSSF, and it's by far the largest one in the world.

There's also a MUCH smaller show run by the NRA which I think is in April this year.

The Shot Show isn't exactly open to the general public. You must be media, or otherwise involved in shooting, hunting, outdoors sports, or law enforcement / military field.

As far as I recall, tickets are not available at the door. You have to submit your credentials (FFL, business license, etc.) and ticket payment in advance. NSSF sends your tickets via USPS.

If you are able to get in, it's worth doing.
