I'm sure this has been discussed before, I thought I would report on the two I bought. The adapters are sleeves chambered in smaller calibers than your actual shotgun chamber. I have a NEF 12 gauge single shot break open.
I put about 10 rounds through it in the last two years. i ordered 9mm and 22LR adapters, the ones I bought are not rifled, about 3 inches long. The rounds of both fit flush with the back of the adapter. The 22 as you know is a rim fire so the hole is drilled off center so the firing pin will strike in the right place. At about 15 yards, both calibers hit within 2 inches of center. I will buy more calibers as time goes on. I ordered a choate survival stock with storage in the butt and fore grip for the adapters and ammo. Here is a link if anyone is interested in information. There are a few makers of these, do a search and find the calibers you would like. jt
