I love my 1100s. My 12ga 3" was stolen, several years back. Had been on lookout for replacement and came upon this one, on an estate auction. Got it cheap, looked unfired.
GREAT GUN. Cycles heavy field 2 3/4" through 3 1/2" kick your butt MAGNUMS.
I didn't get it to shoot light loads.
These are great guns, at a great price, if you want a loudenboomer shoulder brasher.

I'm all for SD shotguns. But lately I've noticed that there are almost no 20+inch shotguns in any stores. My local (well couple hours) store was owned by a national champion shotgunner and avid bird hunter. It sold a while back but still has his name. I stopped in for the first time in years and noticed that out of 100 or 150 shotguns there was a single long barrel. One. And it was a cheap import. Overhead there was one high end trap gun too. Cabelas was the same. I had a grand or so in cabelas points on my buisness card. I went there to find they didn't have a single long barrel 12 guage. I ended up with new boots, heated insoles, and insulated underwear from the bargain cave.

I hope it's not a reflection of the times. I know very few who squirrel/rabbit/grouse hunt anymore
