I have a question about current production black powder shotguns. Over the years, from time to time, I will do a half-hearted search for a SINGLE BARREL black powder muzzle loading 10GA shotgun. I can't find any current production firearms of this type. I am not interested in double barrel guns. I prefer straight cylinder bore and pretty long barrels.

If anyone knows of a current production(or just recently out of production) gun that meets this description, I would really appreciate a heads up.

    Thanks.

you could build one if you really want one, i am sure you could find a barrel somewhere.

That's not a 10GA shotgun. Except for being only a 58 caliber, that's more or less the idea I have in mind.

    Getting warm now.

Add about 6 inches or so to the barrel length and make it a 10GA and that's exactly what I'm after. Not too thrilled with that price though. In ten years I've never found one. At one time I found a double barrel 10GA muzzle loader but I do not want a double.

If they made a muzzle loading version, I'd probably jump.

    A 10 gauge bore is .775.
The bore of the Brown Bess is .75 caliber but it's flint.

    Pedersoli makes one:

    Middlesex Village has some too:

Their English Lock Fishtail Fowler is also a .75:

Are you familiar with the Knight TK2000 12 ga.?
Its performance would probably far exceed almost any traditional 10 ga..

Thanks. I already ruled out the brown bess years ago. Not into flint. Really really want the full .775 bore too.
