Shotguns in the movies

The SG in Aliens was a Ithaca 37 but in Romancing the stone it was an 870.
EDIT: it was a left-handed 870.

IMDB says it was a Winchester model 12 (it isn't).

Someone above says it's an Ithaca 37 but it doesn't seem quite right. It's a bottom load/eject gun though. [EDIT: left eject]

Anyone have difinitive proof?

Sorry about the zombie thread but this question didn't seem to need its own thread.

BTW lots of nifty SXS upland game shots at the end of "Heist".

Not an 870, but Steve McQueen used a Winchester Model '97 pump to maximum effectiveness, in a boarding party scene of one of the best movies of all time: "The Sand Pebble".
I beleive that movie was pretty accurate, as to the armament in use at that time(late twenties or early thirties), on a "China Station River Gunboat".
I haven't checked, and my memory may be wrong, but I beleive they were 12ga. but something seems to be telling me that they could have used 10 ga. full brass, buckshot loads.
Someone wil know.
Thanks for your time.

Witness with Harrison Ford. Danny Glover and the other bad cop show up at the end and pull a bunch of guns, including one shotgun, from the trunk and load them up.

In Underworld Evolution, Selene puts 12 or so shots into Marcus with an 870 Tactical. I wish mine held that much ammo :D

The police earlier in that film also were carrying Winchester 1912's

In Zombieland, Tallahassee has a M4, 500, and 590 Mariner during various scenes in the movie.
