Should I just order a new hammer strut and pin?

So I’m trying to change the hammer out on my Charles Daly hi power. I’m stymied at removing the hammer strut pin; it’s like that pin it hydraulically pressed in or something. It obviously is unidirectional but damn if it can be punched out by hand it ain’t by me.

Should I just order a new strut and strut pin?

For the CZ75 line the hammer strut pin can be removed with a starter punch backed up by something hard that does not give at all. Like a steel block. I had to do that with my C75 PCR which has a staked hammer strut pin. It might be similar to your HP.
