Shoulder rig for my 1862 Colt Police

I like to woods walk with my 62 and I imagined that a shoulder holster would be less likely to get snagged in the brush.
I ordered the holster from Dells leather a family business in New York state.
This will be the third holster that I've bought from them for my 62's. I was first attracted
to Dell's because their catalog stated that they made holsters sized directly to the 62 based on that I bought two military style flap holsters and was very impressed.

I think you will like the '62 under your arm.
I made up a shoulder rig for my '60 with the 8" using a flap holster. For winter under coat it is warm, dry, out of the way, and not too much of a bother. I don't need any fast draw just safe carry of a loaded gun.

I been thinking about getting their shoulder holster for my 62 navy pocket let us know how yours comes out

I hope folks who carry percussion revolvers do so legally. While federal and most state laws allow purchase of C&B's without a lot of paperwork, carry laws usually make no exceptions for them, so carrying an 1862 Police, even an original, is the same as carrying a Glock.

Dell's is going to make me a custom gun belt, nice folks to deal with.

Florida law doesn't mention antique firearms as restricted for concealed carry.

I put together this shoulder rig for Winter carry. In and out of truck in and out of cold.
It is not "quick draw" but carries a long barrel Army or Navy warm, dry, and out of the way.

I like the 6.5 inch barreled Police and I think it has better lines than the 5.5 inchers. Also, comparing the two that I own I found the 6.5 incher was more accurate over a longer distance than my 5.5. Although, with the shorter barrel it is handier and what a sweety to carry. :)

I think the 5.5 looks more like a scaled down navy. Supposedly the pocket Coly is 2/3rds the size of the belt model and 2/3rds of 7.5 is 5.

But I have 2 6.5" and they are nice
