- Handi-Rifle in .223
- Romanian SKS
- Armscor M22
- Sub 2000

And my favorite brand of peanut butter is Skippy.:D

Assuming I have to pick rifles on hand, from my current inventory I’d have to choose:

1. AR-15 HBAR
2. Polytech M14
3. Winchester Mod 70 .270 WSM
4. CZ 452

Well what I have packed ready to go is:
CAR-15& lots of mags
CETME & a few Mags
and I would grab the wifes ar-15a2
and yuck mini-30
that way I would be able to use liberated ammo most likely

depending on who the SHTF with I would upgrade after first contact to the following:

Commie Bad Guys:
I would take 2 ak-74's if and disable the mini-30 and ar15a2 (keep some parts to repair the car) and keep the cetme and car
If they had a pk type mg I would take that instead of the 2 ak-74's and also any grenades/rpg's that they donated to me

NATO Bad Guys:
dump both the semi ar's for m4a2's with m203 i don't know if i would trade my semi car-15 for any 3rd burst variant would depend
if it was there a m249 or mp5 would be a nice trade for the mini-30 :)

the only rifle i would keep no matter what would be the cetme unless a genuine h&k g3 could be traded for it

I dont own 4 rifles. How about 4 firearms?

This is what I would bring if I had a means to haul it.

STG58 (FAL) (with scope!)
Lots of mags, lots of ammo.... many flavors.(~2k, SA, Port, Indian :barf:, AP...)

Mossy 500 (need truck for this one)
50 double-ought BS, 25 magnum slugs, and 100 #8 shells.

My SS beretta 92fs 100rds of hydrashock and the .22 LR beretta conversion I will be aquiring in november. A case of fmj reloads.... for barter maybe? I also have a full parts set for this pistol, and I know how to use it! :D

My g22. A few mags, not much ammo, very, very reliable. (have yet to learn it's inner workings however)

Would I carry a Golf Bag around to secure the 4 rifles??

Just kidding.

Into the Jeep would go..

Scoped Marlin .22 model 995 (easily supressed if need should arise) Bit of pvc pipe from the garage and steel wool would go too... 3 mags, sling.

Norinco mak-90 .223 and all of its mags would go (thats a LOT of magazines)

Scoped Savage 116 .30-06 would go, for long range and game getting, might have to spray paint it brown though. Get spray cans from garage. Get ammo can of hunting loads, find spare mag hding in bottom of coffee can in gun room.

Remington 870 would go too, with a 21 inch deer barrel, buckshot, slugs etc would go too.

Pistols would leave me weeping as to which to choose. Throw a BUNCH in a lock box, all the mags I own. FEG hi-power would probably get used the most.

OK, I'll play....

To keep with the rules, and what I have on hand.......

US Rifle Cal .30 M1

Mosin-Nagant M-44

Marlin Lever Action 30A in .30-30

Marlin 99 .22LR

I'll play.. Of what I have on hand, I'd grab my:

Remington Mod. 700 in .30-06,
H&K SL8-1 in .223 Remmy,
Ruger 10/22,
Savage Mod. 99E in .30-.30 (this one is purely for sentimental reasons)

1. AR-15 w/ scope
2. AR-15 w/ scope
3. AR-15 w/ scope
4. AR-15 w/ scope

With a truck load of ammo.

Same rifle makes things easier.

Each family member has their own personal setup. I'll take the grenade launcher on mine, please!

Rusty

Easy

1. FN FAL .308 (for aggress/defense)
2. Ruger 77 Ultralight .308 (for eating)
3. Ruger 10/22 with glass (small game/supressed sound)
4.a. If with big critters, Marlin 1895 in 45/70
4.b. If not with big critters, AR Carbine

I only have one rifle. Yugoslav* 24/47 8mm Mauser. Needs a scope. I also have a pump shottie and a 10mm Witness. (Hey, it is accurate out to 100yds acc. to the manufacturer. It should count, right? ;))

If I get to play pretend:

1. Bushmaster AR-15 w/ 24in bull-barrel, flash-hider, evil bayo lug, the works. Approx. one a$$-load of ammo in mags.
2. Henry Repeating US Survival, w/ a couple extra mags and a few boxes of ammo.
3. AK-47 SAR-1. Approx. one a$$-load of ammo in mags.
4. Remington 700 in .308, bull-barrel of 24in, floated and glassed, bad-mofo-of-a-scope and charted out to 1000yds w/ approx. one a$$-load of Lake City Match 168gr NBT Boattail.

Nowthen, as long as I dont have to hump that through the woods for umpteen miles, I should be peachy-keen.

These threads alway tell me I need more rifles. "You get to pick only four rifles. . ." Well, I only have three in the cabinet, so I guess I would drag along as a fourth my No. 4 Mark II caked in cosmoline so I could trade it for food when I meet a cruffler. So here are the other three:

M38 Swedish Mauser to get food

M39 Finnish Mosin Nagant to get revenge.

Yugo SKS to get out of trouble.

1. My AK-47
2. My CZ .22 Training Rifle
3.My Ruger 77V .223 with Leopold 6X24 scope
4. One of those old Savage combo guns with a .30-06 barrel over a 12 gauge barrel.

1. my v-match hbar bushmaster.
2. my m-4gery bushy.
3. my Cetme
4. my custom 10/22

at least 20 mags between the two AR's
six to eight mags for the Cetme
10 mags for the 10/22.

and a wheelbarrow to carry it all in. :)

Don't need no rifle

I should have known an Okie couldn't follow directions ;)
You set a bad example for the troops

Some interesting answers though

And OEF-VET's Dad sounds like my kind of people.
He's the kind of guy you can listen to all night, sitting around a campfire :D
