A week ago I got the chance to take a tour of the Sierra bullet factory. I was pretty excited as I had wanted to do it for a while. Before I got a chance to do that we went to the factory seconds room and bought a few pounds of .308 bullets. Which were blems but for the life of me I can't see why! Anyway I had my 2 year old son with me and my wife. The man who gave us the tour went out of his way to accommodate us . My son went through the whole tour with us, right up until we went downstairs to the range , and the wife took him outside to the car. Bottom line, if you get a chance to take a tour of their manufacturing facility , do it!! My only regret is that there is a starline brass factory a few blocks away that I didn't get to go to... Next time!

If I uploaded them correctly here are the bullet prices.

Here is the other side. The thing I didn't realize was that bullet runs are seasonal. That being said, we were there when they were making 6.5's. But they didn't have hardly any pistol bullets. They said they run those in the spring.

The only problem is they won't ship the seconds, you have to visit their factory to get these prices.

I live 30 miles from the Sierra Factory and even in the spring when they run their pistol bullets, it's hard to get factory second pistol bullets and I'm not sure why. Every time I'm in there it seems that they don't have something I want/need and so I just get more of what I really don't need. I load my AR-15 with their 65 grain Game King seconds and they work great on deer. I also load my M1 Garand with their 165 grain Game King seconds and they are like the hammer of Thor hitting deer. Great bullets...Excellent company

A side note about the seconds is that you really should look them over. Sometimes the copper jackets have heavy stretch marks but the light stretch marks don't seem to affect performance. The copper jackets are sometimes folded over in the ogive and I usually discard those. On the SBTs sometimes there is a ring of lead around the tip that can be scrapped off with your finger nail and others have a little lead wire protruding from the tip which breaks off with a few bends back and forth. On their Blitz King seconds I've found that the polymer tips can be missing, misshapen, and have some of the other problems mentioned about the SBTs. I don't weigh and sort them for consistent weights as I only use them as hunting bullets, I only sort for blemishes that I can't live with/fix.

Glad you enjoyed the tour. I never knew where Sierra made bullets? God know I shoot enough of them. So I looked at where Sedalia, Missouri was? Heck, my wife and I have driven right through it on 65 off I-70 heading down to Branson, MO. My old Marine Corps unit has an annual reunion in Branson. Now I have all the more reason to catch another reunion. :)

Heading south on 65 coming in on the North end of Sedalia the first stop light you get to if you turn left and go past the bottling company and take another left you'll be right there at the door to the seconds store of Sierra.

Hey Mac, have you ever toured the starline plant? All the guys were happy to talk to us and treated us amazing. The old lady's all had to stop and say hi to my son, who could resist a two year old smiling at you from a stroller!?. The shooting range was pretty cool and they said it ran back under the road. He said they shot 300k rounds last year. When we posted a picture and thanked them for the tour on Facebook, they liked it and told us to come on back any time. It really is nice to see a company that is very friendly to their customers.

I go there 3-4 per year, as I shoot Highpower At Marshall, Mo, 20 miles North.
I use their 2nd's for the short line, and Green box for 600.
Buying .22 Caliber is the best bang for the Dollar.
Yes you have to look them over, even the Blitz King Polymer Morfidite shoot good.

I have not toured the Starline plant even though it is right next door. Most of the time when I'm in Sedalia and I stop in at Sierra I'm on a bit of a time crunch. They do have some great people working at Sierra.
