All that being said, it's interesting to note several Federal agencies are giving up their SIGs and going to GLOCKs.

Yes but one has to wonder if that's due to the great reduction of cost rather than any type of advantage in performance. I'd think it'd be the costs myself. Also Sig still has 1/3 of the market for law enforcement.

Yes but thats the Sig 250 rather than the 220 series, it's a different gun than what most use and that's only one agency.

went to the range today and inspite of my decision to go with the sig traded for a cz compact. overall all i really like it however i do have a few bugs to work out. it shoots high for me, so i have to see about changing one of the sights. another thing that its doing is every once in a while when i pull the trigger the hammer does not fall. if i pull it a coulple of more times it will. cosmetically the trigger is silver, while the rest is all black and it came with 2 10rd. mags. i will have tp contact cz about the trigger and the sights. but it has a great feel and nice size for carry so i am happy with it.

Once you sort out the trigger, you will be very happy with the CZ. I've never seen a silver hammer on a Compact, but that doesn't mean much, but it may be aftermarket and the source of the problem. I'd send the gun to CZ, and get it fixed along with a tigger job.

Does the trigger feel any different than before? My CZ75 broke a trigger return spring, and would not go forward on its own, to reset for the next shot. The rear sight has a number on the base, you will have to drive it off to see what it is, but CZ exchanged mine for no cost(Was in the 5yr warranty time frame, but they never asked)

The compact is my favorite CZ, wished I'd kept mine!!:(

the hammer is black but the trigger is silver, and i bought it new yesterday so it should be stock. i had heard about the sights having numbers on them but since i have to send it back anyway becuse of the hammer not falling i will just let them take care of it then.

Sorry, I read it wrong. The triggers are supposed to be silver. Still, send it to CZ and let them do a trigger job. You will be amazed.

it is weird it doesn't do it all the time. i have a snap cap in it and when i cock the hammer and fire it it will fall about 15 to 25 times. when it fails to fall if i keep pulling the trigger it will finally fall after 2 - 8 attempts. i don't know if something isn't releasing or if something is binding up. i do believe i will rally like it, once these issues get sorted out.

You really couldn't go wrong once you narrowed it down to those two. If you prefer IWB holster, be sure to check out Crossbreed supertuck.
