I have a Sig320 FS 45acp. I bought mine before Sig came out with the MOS version of the same. I thought about selling it and getting the MOS version but somebody told me that I could just get a slide from Sig that is cut for an RMR. Does anyone know if that's true and if so is it only compatible wit the Romeo RMR.

The easiest way to get that answer, is to pick up the phone and call Sig. I don't know how else to put it.

"How to find out" is not what I asked. What I asked was "does anyone know". Besides part of the question was "is it only compatible wit the Romeo RMR". Sig's not going to know the answer to that but someone who has bought a MOS compatible 320 slide might know that.

You don't think they might know what popular products are compatible with their own? I guess there's one good way to find that out too.

Actually they will. It has to do with which pattern they used when they drilled the holes in the slide. There are two patterns that are offered that I'm familiar with. One fits the Romeo 1, the other fits the Romeo 1Pro and the Leopold DPP.

SIG would be able to tell you which pattern the slide you are interested is drilled for or alternatively which slide is drilled for which pattern

Okay, I see what's going on. That's a lot of confusion to unravel.

MOS is mounting standard and a set of adapters for Glock, which allows to mount various sights, such as RMR, SRO, DPP, and so on.

RMR is a red dot sight made by Trijicon.

Romeo is a brand of red dot sights by SIG.

So, there is no such thing as "SIG with MOS version" of whatever, because MOS is only for Glocks. Equally, there's no such thing as "Romeo RMR", just as there's no such thing as "Silverado F-150".

What you appear to want is a slide for a SIG in .45, which is cut for an optical sight. Unfortunately, I know of no such. SIG's factory slides with optics cuts are only compatible with 9mm. I think your best bet is to send the slide away to Suarez to be milled.

That's exactly right. With my M&P CORE, I can use a variety of red dot sights, like Leupold, Trijicon, Vortex, etc. I currently have a Burris Fastfire 3 on it. I was hoping to be able to put a red dot site on the 320, but, it sounds like, I will probably have to have the slide milled. I even thought of selling it and getting a Glock 41 MOS. Not sure if I am ready to do that yet. It looks like there are not a lot of 45acp's that come from the factory with the the slide cut for a red dot site.

Sorry for my mixed up use of terminology and thanks to everyone for the input

I feel for you. I'd seriously consider XDm Elite if it came in .45. I have the original, pre-Elite version, and it's pretty great, but has no optics.
