    What kind of extractor is on a Sig 556 rifle?

    A big claw?

    I'm a bit confused. Other than a claw, how else would it extract?

    The bolt and carrier of the Sig 556 bears a remarkable resemblance to the AK 47's equivalent. That's not surprising since the Sig 556 is an Americanized version of the 550 series, which were inspired to a high degree by the Kalashnikov design.
