Sig "Nightmare" carry : 1911 in 357 Sig

Does anyone have any experience with the Sigsauer "Nightmare" (yep; that's the model name!) in a 357 Sig?

Thoughts? Impressions?

Nope, but I have a brand new one in .45ACP. It's a very nice pistol - works well. The action has smoothed quite a bit in just a few hundred rounds.

Elliott brothers( Sig's Distributor) said they had 5 allocated for delivery. I hope they are not vaporware.

Curious if you have any update on this? I called SIG today to find out if these were "real." The CS rep told me that if it's in the catalog, then it's being produced. Beyond that he could not tell me if any had, or when more would be produced.
Checking online, SIG lists the 5" Nightmare in 357SIG, but in the 2013 catalog only the 4.25" Nightmare is in 357.

I just picked up a SIG Carry Fastback. Similar to the Nightmare, in .45acp.

It is a terrific side arm. SIG quality. Fit and finish are first rate. Nice, tight slide to frame fit. Scary accuracy. Amazing. 100% reliable. I am impressed.

And, have to say, has more features for a lower price than a Colt.

Mine has:

Front strap checkering
Novak cut night sights
Nice, rosewood grips with the SIG logo (though I replaced mine with G10's)
Metal mainspring housing, checkered.
Fastback...bobtail
Steel frame and slide
Fewer MIM parts (from what I have read)
"Match" barrel and bushing
Extended thumb safety

It is scary accurate, about as accurate as my Springfield RO. And this is a Commander sized 1911 with a 4.2 inch barrel.

Btw....just a side note, I noticed the crown on my barrel seems very well done. Nicely cut and super clean. Nothing rough or off about it. Very pleased.

I will be putting in a new C&S sear spring. Trigger pull seems just a tad heavy, at just over 5 lbs.

Anyway, for just under $1000, I think SIG 1911's are fast becoming THE 1911 in this price range. All accounts I have read are very positive. Glad I got mine.

As a follow-up, my Fastback Carry is performing just as Captain33036's is. I've noticed the same fit and finish niceties ... the barrel crown and bushing are very nicely done for a box-stock pistol. My trigger on the other hand, is better than the one on my significantly more expensive Springfield TRP. No need to mess with it at all.

This is the only Sig I own, as most of their other pistols do not fit my hand particularly well. This is a very nice gun!

The name 'Nightmare' describes .357 Sig rather well. Ammo is expensive and second-hand guns are very difficult to move if original owner tires of them.
