CZ 40B
Overall Length 8.1 in
Barrel Length 4.7 in
Height 5.4 in
Width 1.4 in

CZP01 (couldnt find P06:(
Overall Length 7.2 in
Barrel Length 3.9 in
Height 5.3 in
Width 1.4 in

That 1" smaller is pretty expensive!

Wow, they are closer than I thought! Looks like length is the only real difference. Now I'm back on the fence! I wish a gun shop had one in stock around here...

If I were a new handgun shooter I would prefer to get essentially the same pistol for $200 cheaper and spend the difference on 500 rounds of .40 ammo

and a good holster

Let me also add a disclaimer...I do not own CZ stock nor work for CZ;)

Seriously, the 40B is an excellent pistol for the $$$. It is essentially an aluminum framed CZ 75 with a 1911 grip.

No, I just thought it might be a nice IWB for summer carry. I use the model 420 (belt slide) and 570 (pancake). I can carry, all 3 of my SIGs (P6, P220 and P226) and the 40B in those holsters!

right now i got that ru-97 pancake but it doesn't hold it anywhere near my body. if i carry a 40b it has to be a different one than my comp gun, since it's SAO and no fpb installed, and the 360* staircase traction tape will eat my skin and clothing lol. until i find more money, i'm stuck with the xd-9 subcompact. no, not a bad choice for carry either. i'm probably going to end up getting a nice IWB holster for it until i can get another 40b, or perhaps a PCR/p-01/p-06/rami used.

I have a P-01, which to my understanding is very similiar to the P-06, only in 9mm. I love my P-01, and highly recommend it for its ergonomics, accuracy, and reliability. It is a "comforting" pistol to carry, in my opinion. I am also seriously considering purchasing a CZ 40-B, as it is such a deal, and I would like to have a .40 cal. CZ, as well.

SIG P229 is my top pick (though by a narrow margin). Some folks find they don't fit the hand well, others (like me) think they are the best thing since sliced bread.
You and me, both! When I shopping for a defense handgun, I picked up everything I possibly could. It came down to the SIG P229 and CZ P-01. The CZ felt good, but its trigger wasn't very good. Also, the ''beavertail'' has sharp edges that bit into the web of my hand.

The SIG felt (heck, still feels!) great in my hand and has a much better trigger. I got the SIG, and just put round #5000 through it. I completely love my SIG! People complain about the bore axis being high--which it is--but I grip it so high, it doesn't much matter. Sure they tend to be overpriced, but I'd rather just cry once...;)

michaelmcgo,
Pick them up multiple times, over a length of time, and let your hand dictate what you get.

I have owned six CZ75 variants and nine Sig 'classic' variants. In my opinion, the CZ is more ergonomic but the the Sig has a far better design and exhibits better construction fitment. I'd favor the Sig, of the three choices you offered.

My daily carry is a M&P 40S&W, for what it's worth.
