SIG P365 EDC COMPETITION

SIG is holding a EDC P365 only competition at their Academy in July.
Run mostly along the lines of IDPA, but only P365s allowed to compete.
Stock P365
Stock P365XL
Carry Optic
Open P365

No mod's to the first 3 categories to either gun or magazine.
I'm on Squad 32 shooting Stock P365XL. Looks like this might be the most popular division.

That's great! I wish I had a P365 and lived closer! If you can draw enough people, these niche matches are a great idea. It's always fun to be together with people who are passionate about a very specific item or topic. Best of luck!

Well it came and went. There were so many first time shooters. I think around 20% had never shot in competition. My squad was 50% first timers. The stages were simple as the Match Director's intent was to have stages that reflected what a civilian most likely encounter. Not mall clearing 19 targets spread over and acre, but usually 2-4 targets engaged without movement. But hey, we also had 60yd, 1/3 size IDPA steel, a Texas star, a 8" plate rack and a standard stage with 8 left handed paper, 8 right handed paper and 6 freestyle popper... LIMITED shots.

And props. Sig Academy has props. Lots of vehicles, gas pumps, ATM, front lawns, front door/porch, picnic area.

I came in 46th out of 141 overall shooting a stock P365XL. 12th out of 28 in the division. 8th Senior, 6th Vet. Not bad for a 70+ yearold, C class shooter.

Was going to be a one time thing, but I want to go back. So well run.
