    Dear THR
In the comparison between the Sig Sauer 226 Tactical Opperations and the HK USP 9mm Tactical, which is a better tactical pistol?

I am partial to Sig Sauer on this because it has SRT, better grip, higher capacity, universal rail, better night sights and durable finish. The only plus point HK has is the threaded barrel. How much of an advantage that is? It is up for debate, but suppressor ready barrel is also an important tactical element.

    Thanks

You can get a threaded barrel for the 226. It comes on the Elite Dark TB models, and if you call the boys at sig, and ask real nice, they might put it in the TAc Ops in the factory and ship it to you that way for little more than the cost of the barrel. I know a guy who did that for the 220.

As of today I have 2 TacOpps. I was wondering maybe I should let go of one and get USP Tac, but cannot come around to making that decision. I guess one of the elements keeping me away from making that decision is that I have Mk23, which is a beefier/superior version of USP Tac.

The grip curvature of the Sig Sauer TacOpps is amazing. For some reason it feels like a nice sword grip molded custom to your hand.

Since "tactical pistol" is a marketing term, I'm going to with the HK. It appears in more rap songs and video games than SIG, and therefore is the better tactical pistol. I have never heard that phrase come out of the mouth of an LEO, MCAT, or ODA member.

As a secondary guess, I would say the one that fits your hand, that you are accurate with, and enjoy shooting would be the one to go with. Of course that's also the better CCW, better plinker, better competition pistol, etc etc.
