Sig Sauer MCX pellet rifle conversion from CO2 to High Pressure Air (HPA).

My first attempt was using an Air Venturi 13ci bottle kit that came with an adapter to fit the bottle to the gun and a buttplate. The bottle is rated 3,000 max psi with a regulated output of 1,100 psi. Just didn't look right without the factory stock. So the next step was to get a Tippmann Remote Air Line so I could use the stock. Drilled a hole for the line to exit stock and can carry the bottle in a pocket or belt pouch as desired.

I have one of these that I’ve yet to fire. What is the advantage of this conversion?

 

For me cost. I'm already set up with a high pressure compressor for my PCP guns so I bought the 13ci regulated bottle and hose for the Sig. In the long run 90 gram CO₂ tanks can get expensive if you plan to do a lot of shooting with this gun...I've got several grandsons so I found that out quick. Another advantage is there is no drop in velocity when firing rapid fire with HPA.

FYI...be prepared to be disappointed...this gun shoots no where near the velocity indicated on the box/specs even using Sig Alloy light pellets.
