Sig Sauer P365 for concealed carry

Since you own a G42.. I own a G42 and have owned 2 small 9mm(Glock 43 and Ruger LC-9S), have shot a 365 and found them all really 'snappy'..to the point of not really wanting to shoot them much at all. Which, for me, is a show stopper. If it ain't FTS(FunToShoot), I don't want it.
Replaced the G43 with a G48 and couldn't be happier and yes..G48 ain't no 'pocket' gun unless you are Mr GreenJeans...

But if you have shot it and like it...

I had 40 Beretta once that was so snappy that friends would decline a second offer to shoot it.

I don’t find the P365 snappy, even the opposite, it shoots like a bigger gun that it is, and I am not alone in that observation. Shoots bigger than it is. I have run over 300 rounds in a sitting more than once breaking it in/function testing it when new, with no discomfort above normal.

I agree 100%%
I bought my 365 as a skeptic, not expecting it to live up to the hype. In the first couple months I owned it I put over 3000 rounds through it. As I recall there were one or two malfunctions which were in all likelihood ammo related.
I have probably a dozen handguns that I have and could carry. Rarely do I carry anything other than the 365 anymore. It is as close to perfect as a carry gun can get IMO.
And yes it is a striker fired gun which will go bang when you pull the trigger. I am OK with that.

Was this at a quilting party?
Baby shower?

I'm flabbergasted anyone could term the recoil of the P-365 "snappy." An old .40 Kel-Tec is "snappy." A P-365 is a gentle push. There are any number of small .380s that are far, far more "snappy" than the SIG (my old Mauser HSC comes to mind).

Exactly so! And I believe others besides myself mentioned that in early posts in this very thread (and virtually every single other P365 thread, ever).

Wondering if sometimes people just post opinions (or observations) they've overheard from others without any actual experiencing shooting a particular pistol.

I carry this though. I'm fine with the capacity.
I still have much love for my P-938!

Snappy? My 3" XD subcompact in .40 S&W. That was snappy. My nephew loved it, and shot it well, he now owns it.

The P-365 is a pussycat compared to it. :)

Yea im not particularly fond of my Beretta PX4 subcompact .40sw for general range fun. My P365 is more enjoyable for general target shooting, though when the range gave me a box of 124gr +p+ self defense rounds to make sure it function fine. That was snappy for a first mag run, moreso because I didn't know they gave me +p+.

I've only owned two pistols that were painful to shoot. My Ruger BH Bisley in .45 Colt when testing hot "bear" loads, and my XDS 40 with hot defensive loads. Installed a $8 grip sleeve on the XDS and made it tolerable, and I resorted to wearing a shooting glove when shooting hot loads through the Bisley.

Like everyone else, I've found the P365 to defy physics and shoot as nicely as my G19.

The Ruger LC9s/EC9s are fine and before the 365 existed, the LC9s was often considered one of the best value single stack polymer 9mm's out there. It's still a great choice if you don't have an issue with the minus 3 round capacity.

The 365 is the new standard for a carry gun, not much is going to be able to beat it other than in price and I expect in the next decade everyone is going to be making their own version of the 365 and the goal is going to be to keep it below $350.

So, if you really want a 365, get one, otherwise hold off because a lot more clones of it are bound to show up in the future at a lower price as more companies attempt to get a share of that market.

Well, not everybody has a healthy RH thumb and wrist. My still dislocated thumb(thanks USN docs) and arthritic RH wrist makes small 9mm, including the 365, 'snappy' to ME. 'flabbergasted or not'. BUT, as I mentioned, want to buy anything? Shoot it first if you can. Wish I shot the Ruger LC-9 that I bought first..err...it was 'snappy'.
And yes, I have shot the 365, whether you want to believe it or not. Arguing subjectiveness is 'fun'...

Old Dog - I was NOT talking about the 365 when referencing "snappy" recoil... Please read what is written.... have shot the 365 a lot and it is very gentle......

Before you call me out, might want to reread the thread. Yes -- someone actually said the 365 was "snappy."

I've enjoyed my 365, no issues. Had it a year so far and carried it about 200 days of the past year. Picked it up from a LGS for $400 last black friday. Got the one with manual safety (never engaged unless pocket carrying or in a bag) and night sights w/ green front dot which I preferred over three white dot night sights. I find it fun to shoot and accurate, don't have any hesitation of putting 200 rds though it at the range. Easy enough to handle weak-side, single handed too (something I didn't like about the G43).

I had a Glock 43 for two years prior and just didn't love the trigger and grip feel (not a glock guy), shot the 365 was immediately in love. Before I purchased, I also tested the Springfield XD (didn't like the grip, rubbed my thumb wrong and little rough on the hand); the shield 1.0 and 2.0, which I liked but didn't feel like the trigger was a crisp and reset didn't feel as good; and the G43, which I owned, Shot them all side by side and the 365 was clear for me. Conceals really well, even on a smaller frame (5'10" and about 160lbs).

1. Absolutely love the gun. Zero issues. Perfect reliability. Accurate. Best ergonomics of any "micro" sized autoloader ever produced. Shoots like a much larger pistol. Terrific sights. Superb trigger.
2. No, it's not a decent concealed carry gun; it's the perfect concealed carry gun.
3. You gotta be kidding. How about "no?"

How's the XL? Does it carry as well?

I carry a P365 SAS in an Alabama Holsters Pocket Holster and it prints less than my wallet. Buy the Sig or you will always wonder if you should have gotten one. You won’t find yourself at the range wishing you’d bought the Ruger. Promise.

Or you could save yourself a step and immediately move up to a P320, because that’s going to be your next pistol!

P320's rule.

Only gun of more recent times that I would consider "snappy" (and that's foregoing my usual rant about the Astra Model 600), would be a Kahr CW40 which I briefly owned. Not all that painful but definitely a whole lot of muzzle flip to have to deal with.

I have tried out the P365 and while I was a bit of a skeptic at first (as in a gun this small and light can't be comfortable to shoot), I found it to be a very acceptable in the way it was designed and how well it handled.
