i just baught a sig p250 9mm combo. came with a sub compact frame and full size... so far pretty happy, but has any one had any problems i should look for and what too clean it with

I've had mine for over a year now and not had any issues with the pistol. My only complaint is I wish the trigger had a shorter reset or could worked on to reduce the reset. I clean mine with Hoppes #9. Works for my Glocks, M&P's, 1911's, etc.

I like both of mine. I have 1st and 2nd gen compacts. There are mag and rail differences so you will need to determine which you have when buying extra mags, holsters, lights etc. Both are reliable, as long as I stay away from laquered steel case ammo. Brass of any brand funtions flawlessly. Laquer coated ammo FTEs about 2 or 3 times per mag. A lot of people despise the long DAO trigger. I like it, its smooth and steady. Some say it resembles a double action revolver trigger. I feel safer carrying it because of this. Good luck with your new purchase.

Yes I love mine

The more I carry and shoot it the more I just can't put it down.
Best DAO trigger, and I shoot tons of DAO revolvers. Smooth no sharp corners, no decocker or safety to worry about, the gun screams carry me!!!!

I have a compact 45 shipping tomorrow. Needless to say I am very excited

about 300 bullets through the full size and same for the sub compact i think i like the smaller one better better groups with it.also with the full size i find my self limp wristing...is there any other cleaners and is there a such thing as too much oil

There is such a thing as too much oil. Oil attracts dirt and dust, so keep it out of the trigger group and firing pin channel.

I use Breakfree CLP for quick cleanings...
>Brush bore
>Spray CLP in bore, and let sit
>Brush slide, frame, and trigger group
>Run patches through bore until clean
>Put a drop of CLP on each rail, and one drop on the top of the barrel
>Rack slide several time
>Put CLP on a rag/a few drops on the slide, and wipe it down

My .45 Compact has had about 1700 rounds following that regime, and is working great. Every 500, I'll detail clean the inside of the trigger group and innards of the slide using Hoppe's #9 solvent, and a mountain of Q-Tips. Just know that you'll hate shooting such a clean gun after that.
