I have a Sig 226 9mm with standard barrel. Today I purchased an AAC Evolution silencer for it. I need to get a threaded barrel for this puppy. I have two main choices, find an original Sig threaded barrel or get an aftermarket barrel.

I have found original Sig 226 threaded barrels in the $220 range. A Jarvis threaded barrel will be about $250. Which would you pick? I have heard that Jarvis makes great match barrels, but was wondering if pricing being the same if there are any advantages or disadvantages with either choices? All inputs appreciated.

Don't forget to think about raised sights. I think SIG now makes raised night sights so you can still see your sights when the can is on.

    226 threaded barrel 1/2-28

What threads does your AAC Evolution have? I have two 9mm cans with 1/2-28 thread but the factory Sig barrels are M13.5 X 1LH. I ordered a barrel from Jarvis on 7/10/08 and today (10/07/08) they tell me another month. Any ideas where else to get one in 1/2-28?
