Purchased this GI Expert a couple weeks ago and love everything about it. This is the second Para that I have owned, the first was a compact model and that was in the mid 90's. Only reason I got rid of it was a friend had more money in his hand so that ended that. This one was NIB full frame that fits my hand perfect. Took it out back this week and ran three mags (24 rds) down the barrel. I will be perfectly honest in that my hands are not as steady as years ago, the eyes are way from what they were before. Shooting at a range of about 30 ft +/- every shot was right in the center but hitting low by 2" - 3". The GI has the Three white dot's on sights and don't want to go cutting down the front sight or anything to that extreme. Is there aftermarket or replacement sights that can be put on the 1911, or should I just go ahead and aim higher. I have always felt that if I can even put rounds on paper then I'm fairly happy.

I believe that if you back up to 75ft (25yards) they will be just about right on. I wouldn't be worried about being only 3" low at that close a distance as lon as you know where it's hitting. If you need more precision you will probably need a better gun, or do some serious work on yours as it is a "rack grade" model. There are aftermarket sights in a dizzing variety. Just look at Midway and you will see damn near everything you could possibly want or need.
