Sight choice for S&W 629 classic

I decided to put some kind of sight on it. I'm thinking a red dot type. It's mostly going to be for plinking targets, I may try hunting with it one day. I've looked as a couple 2 power scopes but I'm not sure. I just finished watching xXx today and I liked the sight he had on the gun in there, but I can't seem to find it.

I also have a S&W 629-4 ported 6.5" .44Rem Mag. Would like to improve sight picture in low light conditions but stay with open sights. This is a model mfg. 1986 with adj. plain iron front and rear sights. If anyone has upgraded to something similar I would like to know. Mfg. and model # helpful
