I have not shot in a while, so when I went to the range today, it suddenly hit me how difficult to see the standard metal black sights are on my Ruger MkIII (5.5inch bull barrel, stainless). No, there is nothing wrong with my eyesight - I see the target just fine. But, the sights themselves, especially the front one are difficult to pick out in a dark alcove over the background of a black bullseye. I bet I can tighten my groups with the proper sight.
So, could you please advise me on alternative sights, preferably something light and not radioactive. I've noticed these tube ones that look like a fiberoptic cylinder, and my guess is their point is to trap light by total internal reflection? Manufacturers, prices, websites, places to buy?
Many thanks in advance.
