Sigmas off of S&W homepage

    Well I guess we knew this was coming, seems as though the Sigma 9/40VEs are officially being phased out in lieu of the SDs.

    I believe it happened last week.
    Hopefully they'll blow out the last on the shelves at a great price and I'll get a second.

    I think I might get my first...saw a 9VE for 349.00 at Gander Mtn.

    You can get them from Bud's for $299, I believe.

    They're also discontinuing the SD. They've got a new model coming out that's similar, though. At least, that's what I think I read.

    If the Sigma drops to $250 I'll pick one up as a beater gun.

    It looks like, per their homepage, that the new pistol is a reboot of the SD...they now only have stainless slides and a few other cosmetic changes.

    The new SD9 VE is a combination of the old Sigma and SD models. Smith & Wesson finally realized that having the Sigma, SD, and M&P lines made no sense.
