Silencers Aiding in Criminal homocide??

WHat?!

Does anyone know of a case on the books where someone was murdered using a legally possessed "silencer"? Where in the story are guns even mentioned? Sorry I can't see a good parallel between Drug paraphernalia and class three weapons. Could you explain??:what:

is the DEA agent who shoots an innocent kid in the head just as guilty if he followed "proper procedure"?

is the LEO who runs over an innocent sunbather just as guilty as if he had been paying attention to where his vehicle was going?

That has got to be the most idiotic piece of drivel to come out of the Justice Dept. in the last two weeks. So what, now they're going to surround your house and burn it to the ground because you own a bong?
I used to know a guy who did not use any drugs or even smoke tobacco. Yet he had the biggest hookah I've ever seen in my life. I swear, the sucker was at least a foot and a half tall. It was a souvenir he bought when he was in India, or some other country where using hookahs are all the rage.
Sometimes I wonder if Ashcroft could be any more of a simpering, jack-booted retard.

The "obvious" link between drug paraphernalia and firearm parts should give the conservative Drug Warriors something to think about. The logic that allows arresting people for selling tiny spoons on the Internet also would allow banning the "how to build a silencer" books or even email encryption software, since they might be used by those with evil intent to break the law.

It also demonstrates the sorry state of our justice system. They are basically admitting that they can do nothing to reduce violent crime or stop the illegal drug trade, but they have to "do something" so they target the low-hanging fruit. Honestly, does "conspiring to sell" miniature spoons and scales online deserve three years in prison and a $250,000 fine?

The scales used by reloaders are marked in grains, not grams, and they're a different scale with a much higher weight capacity.:rolleyes:

Woo, they just shut down a "drug parphanalia" outfit that generated $50 million a year in taxes. I thought these morons were suppose to be concentrating on protecting us not shutting down Bong makers who pay taxes. Do we have an accountant here who can calculate the loss in tax revenue on a $50 mil. business, fed, state and local? It gets my attention. The comment made about "invading our homes, chilren can buy is BS," if a parent allows a child to buy bongs on-line they've got bigger problems. If bongs are outlawed they'll just go down to Wally World and buy a Dr. Greybowl and convert it or use it. What a waste and loss of tax dollars. Heck anyone can make a bong or any of the other stuff if they want to without too much thought. Glass jar with cork, take two pieces of 1/4 copper tubing, cut one to lenght of jar minus an inch, take the other and cut to length of cork stopper plus one inch. Take a lenght of plastic tubing........ aw, heck, you get the idea. Add a silencer and you've got a WOWZER......:banghead: WHAT A BUNCH OF MAROONS!

Of course anyone at the DEA should be cranky, if my agency had as little impact on society as the DEA does, I would be cranky too. :neener:

I have never even seen a silencer outside of a range or shop.

I did see on one of those cable "CSI" type shows that dealt with hard to solve crimes a story about a silencer. A guy hired a friend to break in and kill his family for family forturne. The kid that pulled the hit bought a book about silencers and made one out of tennis balls as described in the book. Some how they traced the sale of that book to this kid and with physical evidence at the crime site nailed both kids. Of course thats the "Readers Digest" version but I think you get the picture. Time to start controlling the illegal tennis ball trade??? NOT!
 
I have not heard of any case where silencers were used in a weapon that was used for murder. And here one can buy silencers like a sixpack of beer.

Or maybe the chief is just sarcastic, dunno :D

Hell is that all! I brought back a 4 foot hukah for my non-smoking brother from Saudi last year. It looks so cool:D
