One scope company that gets a lot of praise in my area is Vortex. It helps that it is a midwest company located in Wisconsin. If you are a veteran I believe you can get a discount. They may be worth a look.

Dead hold BDC is what my 4-12 has and the name does not disappoint. It just works. One scope company that gets a lot of praise in my area is Vortex. It helps that it is a midwest company located in Wisconsin. If you are a veteran I believe you can get a discount. They may be worth a look.

The distance your shooting maters as to how much to spend. I haven't noticed your distance yet. For example a scope that comes on an Axis or American works just fine on my 125 yd range and for our deer hunting. As long as it does what you click . Some don't. A x24 is awesome for finding 223 holes. X16 and x12 is usable. X9 works for our antler restrictions. X7 is not great for me , exception is 30 cal holes. Fancy target shooting and long range isn't inexpensive.Debating what to use on the 8x68s that I'm getting done. I would prefer a simple, capped 3-9x40 with decent eye relief and good glass. Have a few likely suspects, and I would like to keep it under $400.
Let me know what you think, I'm not interested in dials, 30mm tubes or huge magnification ranges.
Never heard of GPO.
The other thread reminded me of another difference between the Fullfield 2 and the Fullfield E1. To adjust zoom on the FF2, the entire eyepiece turns, which does not play well with flip caps. The E1 has a separate power ring, albeit harder to turn.Leaning towards the FF2, I have 3 of them already and never the adjustments have always been spot on, POI has never shifted, and I like the Ballistic Plex better than the Hunt Plex from Leupold. Just found out that the 3-9x42 that replaced the 3-9x40 GPO is made in China, crosses them off my list.
Probably not the best glass of the bunch, but the FF2 is probably the most bomb proof out there(except for the old Weaver K4 Classic).
The Droptine is like the E-1.The other thread reminded me of another difference between the Fullfield 2 and the Fullfield E1. To adjust zoom on the FF2, the entire eyepiece turns, which does not play well with flip caps. The E1 has a separate power ring, albeit harder to turn.
Leupold or Burris but don't be afraid of used scopes. I'll bet by now I've bought more used than new and I know I have more scopes ready to go than rifles. I can hardly walk by a used Leupold at the shop without thinking about bringing it home.
I like the old steel Lymans too.Same with me, but old K series Weavers.
From the list presented by the OP, I haven't looked through a GPO, so I can't comment either way. Of the other three, I'd rate them 1. Burris (best glass of the three) 2. Sightron, then Leupold VX-Freedom.
