Site that keeps track of gun prices?

I'm going to a gun show next month (Dulles Expo in VA) mainly to check out compact 9mm guns.

I would like to compare show pricing to that of internet gun stores. (Show pricing => add tax, internet pricing => no tax but add $25 FFL)

Are there websites that keep track of the lowest internet prices of new guns for, say, the past year?

Gunbroker does....

Log in to Gunbroker, search for whatever it is you want to price and then click on "completed auctions." There you can see for what price the things have been selling.

Know before you go. Do your homework before and not after. It's a gun show where sales are greatly dependent on impulse purchasing so don't expect a great deal.

Another vote for Gunbroker.com as a research tool.

Another thing to look for. If the guy at the table is a FFL dealer with a "storefront" you'll pay full retail. Look for non-FFL collectors, and so-called "kitchen table" dealers.

I always look at Gunbroker when I want to find out the absolute top price a guy can actually get for a gun/gun parts/ammo. I have found some good deals and bought through Gunbroker but frequently their prices are higher than anywhere else online. If you take Gunbroker average sale price of something, you can figure a good price is probably 20-25% lower. Not always but frequently enough that I am least likely to buy from someone on Gunbroker. Bud's is usually a better indicator of price.

Most "storefront" dealers will be selling guns right @ MSRP, give or take a few bucks. Rather than dealers undercutting one another for more sales, most tend to stay pretty close to MSRP, knowing that their "competition" will likley be doing the same. I have bought guns at shows before, but honestly could have gotten any "deal" from basically any vendor that had a similiar gun in stock..... After strolling the shows and finding little variation in pricing, I tend to focus on which dealer was the most friendly, helpful, or someone I've done business with before. That was actually more of a determining factor than price, which didn't vary by more than $20 bucks from any vendor. You CAN get deals at gunshows, but they are certainly the exception rather than the rule. I find better deals on ammo and whatnot than I typically do firearms. For example, at our local show, I picked up two 500 round bricks of minimags for $13 each.....when the same ammo was selling for 6.95/100 @ walmart.....and this was during the the "ammo crisis"!!! Also picked up some m193 5.56 for $5.00/20, which is a full dollar/20 off of the cheapest brass-cased 5.56 on the net....before shipping!
