Great stuff. Obviously used pyrotechnics (and a bit of poor computer animation to insert the anti-tank round in flight) but fun nonetheless.

I've long thought that great sport would be to use a trebuchet or one of those punkin cannon to launch large, soft targets(Pumpkins, breadfruit, melons) and blast them out of the sky with shotguns and duck loads.

Great minds move in similar paths...

Last month I got to see a piano engulfed in green flames flung from a trebuchet and it was pretty impressive. I hadn't thought about shooting things from it, but it doesn't sound like a terrible idea. The trebuchet shouldn't be too difficult to arrange, but getting someone to dress up like Chicken Little might be tough. ;-)

Great minds indeed. In anticipation of our annual "shootin' cabin" weekend trip, several friends and I constructed a trebuchet last month. Surprisingly enough, the thing worked and we spent this past weekend burning up several cases of game loads on various aerial targets.

Among the favorites were 2lb bags of flour and bundled six packs of skunked beer. :)

This made the brass/garbage patrol at the end of the day kind of a pain - but nobody complained.....
