Sling for Winchester Model 94?

Hello all,

New to the forum, but I've been lurking for awhile. Lots of knowledge here. I'm hoping for some suggestions on a sling for my Winchester Model 94. It has no sling swivels, so I'm hoping to find a strap on style leather sling for it. Any thoughts?

There you go. It will put a hole in your stock and will scratch the magazine tube, but that's about all I know of. If it's a collector's piece, you may not want to do it.

I don't want to mar the stock by putting in sling swivels. I'd like something that works without sling swivels. Sort of like this, but I'd like other options to look at:

I tried a sling that didn't require sling swivels on a 870 that I didn't want to drill for a sling stud. I had it on for a whopping 5 minutes before I took it off forever. Buy a beater 94 stock, and drill it for a sling stud. Its worth the extra effort than trying to get one of those slings to work good in the field.

I went back and fourth with the idea of putting a sling on my '94 AE Wrangler, and even bought the mounts linked above. Eventually I decided to carry the thing in my hands. It's light enough, and if I'm going on a major hiking expedition I'll take a Rem 700 or AK, or M1 Carbine, or AR.....
