Sling studs 982

Hey all, I just bought a Hawk 982 shotgun, and I am looking for advice on what sling studs I need to get for it. The back one is just a standard machine thread, but the magazine cap is confusing me. There is a hole in it, but it isn't threaded. Can I just get a standard stud and put a nut behind it, or will that interfere with the magazine follower? Thanks in advance.

FYI, the 982 now comes with a plastic trigger guard.

Since it appears you have zero clearence inside the cap?

Drill & Tap threads in the cap to fit the adapter or solid stud, then grind flush on the inside of the cap.

Then mount the adapter with blue or red lock-tight.

Some of the Norinco/Hawks come from the factory with a shortened machine screw stud in the mag cap, backed by a washer and nut, held in place with a dollop of something like thread locker. Any similar approach should work...
