I have tried a single point sling and a 3 point sling and I continue to have an issue with the rifle. In my case its an M4 Carbine with a collapsible stock...

Can someone suggest a good sling that keeps the rifle high but readily accessible? and doesnt allow the end of the barrel to be at my shins.

When playing airsoft, I'l use what amounts a longer 550 cord bracelet. I made one that is about a foot long and hook it to the shoulder ring of my tac vest and the other end around the M16/M4 stock sling mount. I can make longer or shorter lengths of 550 for different rifles, and when I dont want to hold it, I'l let it hang off the vest. Might not work for what you use, but its an idea. The end of the stock of the rifle will hang about where the middle of your upper arm is, and can be shouldered easily with no interference from the 550.

2-Point Quick Adjust is the answer to most people's sling questions.

That said, where are you mounting the sling on the rifle i single point? Rear of the receiver or rear of the butt stock?

I recommend a VTAC padded 2 point sling. It has a quick adjust on it. I have 2 of these.

Quick adjust two point is the way to go for most situations. Remember, a sling on this kind of rifle is for RETENTION, not just lettin' it hang.
