Quick question about slip-on recoil pads:

What size (Small, Medium, or Large) would a Remington model 700 take?

Thanks, Ye Wise Members of The High Road!

Don't off the top of my head. I was at Sportsman's Warehouse today and saw a Remington direct replacement pad for a M700. They also had Kick-eeze and Pachmayr direct replacement bolt on recoil pads for M700. Probably a better bet than a slip on. If you can't find them locally, Brownells and Midway should have them.

Checkout the Limbsaver brand. I have a slip on one that I use on my Mosin Nagant M38 and Yugo M48A. I can shoot all day with that thing.

Ill second the recommondation for a limbsaver recoil pad. I have two of the screw on types on my 870, and a slip on medium size that Ive used for everthing from break open shotguns to my mosin. Cuts recoil in half easily, and isnt that bad on the wallet, I beleive brownells has them for around 26$.

The slip on Limbsaver comes in several sizes. I used the medium on my Yugo M48, Mosing Nagant 91/30, and M38 rifles. You'll have to see what fits your rifle.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was just mentioning the R3 to show my support for the limbsaver products. I was mentioning that I also use a medium size slip on pad for my milsurps and other guns with sentimental value. Hope that cleared things up!
