Greetings,
I'm having a tough time finding a 12 ga. slug that both I and my Benelli M1 like, and I'm hoping someone here can make some suggestions.
My desire is to achieve the following:
Accuracy
No secondary projectiles
No side-saddle induce malfunctions

So far I know this,

Wolf Power Rifled Slugs, 2 3/4", 1 oz.:
Highly accurate
No secondary projectiles
Side-saddle induced malfunctions

Remington HP Rifled Slugs (SP12RS), 2 3/4", 1 oz.:
Accurate
Secondary projectiles
No side-saddle induced malfunctions

It appears that I need a slightly more powerful load than the Wolf (as it felt almost as powerful as the Remington), and one with an attached wad so as not to produced secondary projectiles. Of course, I'm always trying to keep the recoil to a minimum, but its not the priority.

What loads do you recommend I try?

There's an easy fix for Side Saddle induced malfs. Take it off.

In 12 gauge, there's no ineffective slugs. Use the 5 packs to find one both you and your shotgun "Like".

TTBOMK, all slug loads have some kind of secondary ejecta in the form of wads of one kind or another. The Rottweil Brennekes have the wad screwed to the base of the slug, but there's an overpowder wad also.

Discovering a slug load that meets your specs will take bench work. But with all the choices available, there's at least one out there that will work. Those R/W Brennekes are a good place to start.

I curious as to just what ktmhk53 considers a "secondary projectile"...teh wad was the only thing I can think of.

Might be hard to eleminate that. Are there other secondary projectiles I don't know about?
